How long have you worked for Sytner Group?
How has your job changed in that time?
I started working for Sytner as an Internal Auditor. I then took on the role as Accountant at Graypaul Nottingham and when the Group bought Graypaul Birmingham in 2009, I became the Accountant for both dealerships. In 2014 I transferred to Sytner BMW / MINI Nottingham to become the Financial Controller and now look after a team of 12 people at one of the largest dealerships within Sytner.
If someone wanted to become an Accountant at Sytner, what key skills would they need?
An eye for detail, patience and be willing to work long hours.
What is your favourite part of your job?
Dealing with a variety of people on a daily basis and that feeling you get when however busy you are, you manage to hit that all important deadline.
Three words that sum up the people in your team?
Hardworking, fun and trustworthy.
If you could take one item to a desert island what would it be?
“Get the beers in!”
I can juggle and ride a unicycle at the same time!
