Congratulations to our 2018 winning team, Rápido, who designed and launched a fantastic vehicle!
In collaboration with the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI), the Sytner Group Recruitment Team host a UK wide Business & Enterprise competition for Schools and Colleges. The competition encourages students to get creative by designing, branding and launching their very own vehicle!
This year we received many fantastic entries from schools across the country. These were judged by both the IMI and Sytner, and we were proud to announce the 2018 winners as ‘Team Rapido’ from Felstead School, Essex.
The team opted for a target market of females aged 20+, and after researching the current market, they designed a vehicle with many key features such as Alexa functionality and an SOS button. Team Rapido then created a logo, strapline and an advertising campaign for the launch of their vehicle.
The winning team were awarded with a fantastic, fun-filled day at Mercedes-Benz World, the famous Brooklands racing circuit in Weybridge. They were taken for the ride of their life around a purpose-built track with twisting corners and fast straights by a professional driver. After the thrilling rides, the team were taken on guided tour of the stunning facility, followed by Formula One racing in Mercedes-Benz Worlds Driven: Simulator Zone, where they tested their F1 skills on a virtual racing circuit. The day ended with an awards ceremony, presenting gifts and a certificate to the well-deserved winners.
