Internal Audit

"I joined Sytner in 2003 to work on a temporary project. I knew as soon as I got settled in that this was a company I would like to work for permanently. Whilst I was working on the project, the Group approached me with the opportunity to take on the role of Head of Internal Audit and on a part time basis. This fitted perfectly with my family commitments and I jumped at the chance; the rest is history!

In the 10 years since I joined the company my role has developed significantly, as the team has taken on responsibility for auditing to revised Accounting Standards and new ventures not only in UK but also in Europe. The company has grown and developed into many new areas which has not only continued to challenge me but has also enabled my role and that of the internal audit team to change and evolve to meet the increased demands of an international automotive group.

I have been incredibly lucky to work with such a strong and diverse team of people at Sytner Group. Despite various changes over the years, the team have always had a commitment and enthusiasm for the company and their role, which makes every day a good one! My role continues to afford me the diversity and flexibility I so welcomed initially; I shall look forward to the next 10 years!"
