Automotive Management Awards 2018
Adding to our ever-growing number of awards, we were proud to accept 2 more prestigious accolades at the Automotive Management Award Ceremony on Thursday 8th February, held at the ICC venue in Birmingham.
The first of these was the award for 'Best Retail Group (more than 10 sites)' and recognises the unique complications and complexities that come from co-ordinating a large retail group, one with more than 10 dealerships. This stands alongside our award for being voted Sunday Times Number 1 Best Big Company to Work For, emphasising how even being such a large franchise hasn't stopped us from putting our colleagues, customers, manufacturers and shareholders at the heart of everything we do. To have this actually noticed by external people and companies, and awarded for, is a bonus!
We received a 'Highly Commended' recognition in the category of 'Best Training and Development Programme', which acknowledges the continuous and paramount support in helping to develop the Sytner Group team. This award highlights our commitment and values to 'Developing Talent' and Building Careers'- so we are very proud!
Finally, a great end to the night was having our CEO Darren Edwards be recognised and awarded as 'Business Leader of the Year'. This accolade is presented to the person who has had the biggest impact on the motor industry over the last 12 months. It is for someone whose contribution will have made a significant positive impact to the way companies do business or to the way the industry is portrayed to the public, and we couldn't agree more or be happier as a company with their choice. A massive congratulations goes out to Darren Edwards and the entire Sytner Group team, who never fail to give us a chance to be in with winning all these amazing awards through their constant hard work and determination. Keep up the great work and lets continue to strive to be the best!
