Sytner Sales Executives
What is it like working as a Sytner Sales Executive?
Sytner truly believe that their colleagues are at the heart of their business which really shows in our friendly and supportive working environment. We are very fortunate to work with some of the most prestigious brands in the Motor Trade and our sites have fabulous state of the art facilities for both our customers and colleagues. It is a highly rewarding and fun job, but you have to be prepared to work hard in order to be successful.
A typical day for a Sales Executive…
A typical day usually starts between 8am to 8:30am. Before the morning sales meeting, you and your colleagues will check the presentation of the cars and ensure there is ample space for your customers to park in the car park. Your sales meeting gives you an opportunity to go through your enquiries and appointments for the day, as well as being updated on any news from the dealership. Throughout the day you will engage with customers who are looking to purchase a car, providing them with advice and assistance. As well as this, you will keep in contact with existing customers to further assist with their enquiry and ensure that customer’s cars are ready for collection. You will normally finish the working day at around 6pm to 6:30pm.
What sort of people are we looking for?
Our very best Sales Executives are those who are highly motivated, customer focused and always work with the upmost integrity. Although the role is primarily individually target driven, it is important that you are a team player and are willing to help others.
Do I get any training?
There is a structured induction process in place for all new Sales Executives (both with and without car sales experience). You will be inducted at your dealership, which will include becoming familiar with all departments, your colleagues and some of the processes required in the role. You will also need to attend a compulsory ‘Sales Pathways’ course. This will be via a combination of virtual, bite-size, training modules combined with compulsory e-Learning and other enjoyable learning activities. These will provide essential training, insights into our Sytner sales processes, best practice and explain how we expect you to interact with our customers. Pathways is only the beginning of your introduction to the company as we offer further training modules to support you, Sales Manager and colleague assistance, and you may also receive training from the manufacturer.
What are the career opportunities for a Sales Executive?
There are many career opportunities within Sytner, and when we are looking to fill a vacancy we always look to promote from within. The natural progression for a Sales Executive is to become a Business Manager, who recommends finance and insurance products to our customers. Following this role, many of our Business Mangers become either a Sales Controller or Sales Manager and have oversight of an entire team. From this role, a successful Sales Manager may have the opportunity to become a Head of Sales and ultimately become the dealership’s Head of Business.
