Sytner Sales Apprentice
What is it like working as a Sytner Sales Apprentice?
Sytner truly believe that their colleagues are at the heart of the business which really shows in our friendly and supportive working environment. We are very fortunate to work with some of the most prestigious brands in the Motor Trade and our sites have fabulous state of the art facilities for both our customers and colleagues. It is a highly rewarding and fun job, but you have to be prepared to work hard in order to be successful.
A typical day for a Sales Executive Apprentice…
A typical day usually starts between 8 am to 8:30 am. Before the morning sales meeting, you and your colleagues will check the presentation of the cars and ensure there is ample space for your customers to park in the car park. You will be the first point of contact welcoming our customers into the showroom and ensuring their individual needs are met. Throughout the day you will contact and administer our digital enquiries, providing them with advice and assistance. As well as this, as time progresses you will assist with customer test drives and become the handover specialist, giving our customers’ an exceptional level of customer service. You will normally finish the working day at around 6 pm.
What sort of people are we looking for?
We are looking for people who want to learn a new role through a structured programme of study and who are extremely focussed on achieving their apprenticeship in order to move into the role of fully-fledged Sales Executive.
Our very best Sales Executives are those who are highly motivated, customer focused and always work with the upmost integrity. Although the role is primarily individually target driven, it is important that you are a team player and are willing to help others.
Do I get any training?
Yes. We work in partnership with Calibre Group, an approved Apprenticeship provider well known for their creative and modern learning methods with an excellent track record over many years of working with Sytner Group.
This is a 15 month Level 4 apprenticeship that will give you the chance to learn, observe and practice all the skills needed to be successful in the role of Sales Executive once you qualify.
The robust training programme consists of Modules using a blended approach covering a range of learning styles to appeal to all students. Using videos, podcasts, practical and theory elements, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your competence in the role as well as your creativity and digital skills as part of your study.
Alongside the training you will be assigned a dedicated external Calibre Group Mentor, whose job it is to help and guide you to stay on track throughout the course and to answer any questions you may have along the way. You will also have the support of an internal Mentor who will be responsible for your day to day welfare and making sure you are given the on-site assistance you need to succeed in this role.
In addition to all of this, you will attend Sytner Group and external BMW & MINI manufacturer courses at Head Office to complement your apprenticeship.
